There are various variants of products for children, each of which has its own properties and characteristics. Goods are classified according to the following criteria:

1. age of the child (for example, for newborns, for children under 1 year old);
2. educational purpose (motor, sound, visual, musical);
3. material of manufacture (rubber, wood, plastic, leather or a combination of several materials);
4. appearance (toys depicting animals or people, musical instruments, cars, miniature kitchen sets);
5. type of device (mechanical, electronic, inflatable, soft, collapsible).

All toys for children and teenagers are subject to mandatory certification. The requirements for the safety of this group of products are determined by TR CU 008/2011.

The technical regulations do not apply to:

• products made according to individual orders;
• exhibition samples;
• christmas decorations;
• playground equipment;
• sports equipment;
• slot machines;
• costume jewelry.

These regulations establish norms regarding the chemical composition of raw materials, hygroscopicity, resistance of painted elements to abrasion, organoleptic properties, water resistance.

The following information must be present on the package:

1. name;
2. manufacturer country;
3. data about the manufacturer (importer);
4. brand (if any);
5. the age category for which the toy is intended;
6. raw material composition;
7. methods of care (if necessary);
8. release date;
9. service life;

10 the sign of the address "EAC”;

11 storage conditions.

To get a certificate for toys, an entrepreneur needs to prepare a certain package of documents and hand them over to the experts of the EAC center.

The following stages of the procedure are distinguished:

1. submission of the application and documentation package to the EAC Center;
2. choosing a verification scheme;
3. sampling of goods for testing in an accredited laboratory;
4. preparation of the laboratory research protocol;
5. registration and issuance of permits.

The document is a state-issued blue letterhead, which has an identification number. On the form there are elements of protection against forgery (hologram, guilloche grid, text along the contour of the grid).

The document contains information about the manufacturer and the applicant, the controlled product (in addition, the assortment grid can be specified). The permit also specifies HS codes, provides a list of standards that meet the requirements of the declared products.

The certificate also contains information about the laboratory in which the product samples were tested, the certificate of production evaluation and research protocols are indicated. For imported products, you should also specify the date and number of the supply contract.

The document displays information about the certification body whose specialists were engaged in the preparation of the permit, as well as the date of registration and the period of its validity.
