Safety data sheet of a hazardous production facility

The sample of the technical passport of a dangerous object (PO) is strictly established by law. Its standard form is given in the annex to Order No. 506. In addition to the title page and the final page with signatures and seals, it contains four main sections:

• the main parameters of the object for which the passport is being developed. It indicates the number of employees and risk factors, including information about the dangerous compounds used, depreciation of funds, etc.;
• the level of risk of various types of emergency situations on the object, taking into account its nature. These indicators are calculated for the most dangerous and the most variant of the accident scenario;
• the general state of accidents and injuries at this enterprise. This section records the time and place of the accident, its causes, consequences, and the degree of implementation of recommendations for preventing the recurrence of such events;
• description of the set of actions for the prevention of accidents. It records the availability of the necessary documents, special equipment, rescue units and compliance with other legal requirements for this type of object;

For specialized facilities, for example, a gas boiler house, an additional section of the OPO on explosion safety may be required. The list of required additional sections is determined by the developer.

The form of the passport, established by Order No. 506, provides for the presence of mandatory appendices to it. These include:

• a plan of the object's territory with an indication of the affected area in case of an emergency;
• diagrams of potential risk for citizens (F/N and F/G), taking into account the specifics of the object. For example, the processing of vegetable raw materials is dangerous with the risk of the occurrence of flammable gases;
• settlement and explanatory supplement to the document. It provides a complete list of calculations of various types of risk contained in the passport;

The settlement and explanatory supplement is not developed for enterprises that have a valid industrial safety declaration.

The current rules for the development of VET determine that this document is drawn up according to the conditions relevant at the beginning of the current year. According to the requirements of Order No. 506, our specialists prepare it in two copies:

• one document is constantly at the enterprise for use in case of an emergency;
• the second one is transferred to the territorial body of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the subject of the Federation;
